ACCIDENT SURVIVOR

So we got a call tonight, two days before we were due at our first gig in California. Our road Crew had left Minnesota a day or so before, and were in Oklahoma.

Apparently, they had been in some sort of an accident and the details started coming in. We had a beautiful Ford Excursion and a 30 foot custom studio trailer. In this trailer we had everything we needed to record and then immediately distribute a show.

Our most expensive and crucial gear was fully racked in a Rock Hard Road Case. With our gear in it, it was worth around $65,000.00, and was the heart of our system. Doing around 65 mph, the road crew caught a bad gust of wind and fishtailed.

The fishtailing got worse and took the whole thing over. The trailer came apart completely, as those things are not what we want it to do, and our gear was scattered all over the Interstate 70. The Rock Hard Road case ended up flipping and protecting another rack full of gear.

The case is the big gray thing under the axles. The Rock Hard case literally had the axles of the trailer on top of it. I should mention also that the lids weren't on it during any of this.

Here's the thing. Everything in it was just fine. Our road crew (now named "Team Rollover") powered everything up and it all came to life. We were able to be in LA the next day and go ahead with the show. What more could you possibly ask of a road case? Rock Hard Road Cases saved our gear and our credibility. By the way, the case is doing fine and is still in daily use.

The pictures of Luke, Wes Schuck (Owner) and myself were taken a couple of days ago with the same case. Hardly a scratch on it. Luke is the guy with the Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses. Wes is wearing a bright orange shirt, and I'm the guy with the brown glasses and western shirt on.

"Mark, these cases are indestructible. On the ground at Dulles Airport I heard a kid in the row behind me say "Mommy", look at that man bouncing that big suitcase! A baggage handler had just thrown my double acoustic guitar case and bounced it across the tarmac. When I arrived at Hartford I opened the case fully expecting to find damaged instruments. The guitars were fine - this case really did its job! Plus, the wheels make it possible for me to transport a suitcase, carry on, and both guitars through baggage check all by myself."

"The case arrived yesterday and boy is it a beaut. You did a perfect job designing it. The Mesa fits like a dream and man is it sturdy, you went all out with the riveting. Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for doing one hell of a job."

P.S. -  "I'm definitely coming to you for any other cases I need designed and recommending you to my friends!"

“I just received my case today for the Yamaha and wanted to thank you for a great job. It turned out better than I expected. I'll tell all my friends about you guys! Again Thanks!"
